How to treat Cervical Spondylosis?

Mild cases may respond to the following tips and tricks at home:

  • Regular exercising
  • Muscle relaxants
  • Hot fomentation
  • Application or light massage of any pain relieving medicine
  • Postural awareness

If too severe, try the following:

Physical therapy: For stretching and strengthening of the muscles or for developing space in vertebras by manual manipulations.

Visiting a specialist: If conservative treatment fails or if your neurological signs and symptoms such as weakness in your arms or legs worsen, you might need surgery to create more room for your spinal cord and nerve roots.

Hydrotherapy: Float support lying in warm water is best for total relaxation and hence gaining relief from muscle spasm.
